Marketing Manager Needed At Verizon

You’ll help us understand markets and how people use our products and services. You will maintain our leadership position by anticipating consumer needs and shaping our future offerings to meet them. Your vision and leadership will help us realize what’s next for Verizon.
  • Determining what people really want.
  • Testing out new ideas.
  • Figuring out the upside and downside of the next thing.
  • Telling us what the market says.
  • Creating the story for our customers.

In addition:
As a member of the Local Marketing Team, you will be designing, executing, and evolving target market insights and promotional strategies. The focus will be on increasing growth, revenue, and closing the gaps with available opportunities in markets across the country. You will evolve strategies to keep up with ever changing business and customer needs as well as improving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using data insights and analytics around focus markets identified by local marketing team.
  • Develop focus market playbook including detailed profiles with opportunities and challenges. Maintain market level data repository on past performance of various initiatives and key learning’s through various data sources.
  • Identify opportunities with key segments across the country and uncover insights that can lead to trials that are scalable across the country.
  • Explore, design and build analytical recommendations using relevant statistical tools to address business opportunities across the country.
What we’re looking for...
You are curious about what people need and want. You enjoy digging through data for insight into opportunities for how we can help our consumers work, play and connect in new and better ways.
You’ll need to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with marketing research, research strategy, or consumer research methodologies.
Even better if you have:
  • Master’s degree – more impressive if you have an MBA.
  • Digital experience and an understanding of trends and key business drivers.
  • Presented findings and insights targeted to what that audience cares about (up to the executive level).
  • Analyzed what’s important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities.
  • Juggled multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Designed custom research approaches to gain broader or deeper consumer and market insights.
  • Translated market knowledge and strategy into compelling stories and tools for the sales team.
