Our Team:

The Security Infrastructure SRE team is responsible for running security infrastructure as a service for other internal security teams!. Bloomberg's network is constantly evolving and we provide the solutions to ensure visibility, detection, and response capabilities to our company's security teams. Some of our internal clients are the cyber security operations center (CSOC), cyber incident response team (CIRT) and other internal security engineering teams.

The team is part of a wider Platform Security group, which in partnership with Bloomberg’s Security Architecture and Information Security operations teams, designs, develops and deploys security products and solutions internally. Our goal is to enable application teams to deliver secure products to our clients, support our operational security teams in detection and analysis of unusual behaviors, supporting response if necessary, and enabling workplace agility without compromising security.

We are an open source first team, favoring open standards where possible, and building on open source technology where available! Our products are built using a variety of frameworks, programming languages and technology stacks. Many members of our team are active open source contributors, looking to give back to these communities, wherever possible.

 Ensure the stability of the existing infrastructure while working on the next generation of infrastructure as a service

 Continuously re-evaluate, automate and modernize applications and infrastructure to meet the latest security, industry and company-wide standards

 Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments for scalable, fully automated deployments

 Build automated deployment pipelines, monitoring and failovers and use automation to bring scalability and efficiency to our systems

 Work with heterogeneous systems including but not limited to servers, databases, security appliances and software to ensure high availability of all applications and infrastructure as a service

 Automate the configuration and management of infrastructure and applications with modern orchestration tools

 Maintain monitoring of our systems and provide solutions that can react to those alarms to minimize client impact and manual intervention

 Assist in architecting large-scale secure solutions for our teams products

 Deploy large scale visibility tools across hosts and networks

 Troubleshoot applications, networks, and operating systems

 Assist our organization's development teams with CI/CD pipelines

 Work with internally developed, open source and commercial security applications and appliances

 Migrate workloads to containerization technologies

 Integrate with a mix of on-premises and public cloud applications to provide security visibility wherever necessary

You'll need to have:

 4+ years of experience in a relevant SWE or SRE role working with an object oriented programming language and proficiency in (Python, Go, or similar)

 A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field of study or equivalent work experience

 Orchestration and Automation Frameworks experience with either Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt or similar

 Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

 Familiarity with logging and metrics: Splunk, Crowdstrike Falcon Logscale, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana

 Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools

We’d love to see:

 Understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model and common protocols with ability to troubleshoot network issues

 System administration knowledge: OS and service administration and hardening (HTTP, DNS, NTP, SMTP, Active Directory, LDAP and other common services) for the purposes of integration, automation, and troubleshooting

Salary Range: 160,000 - 240,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

Division: Sales and Distribution

Mission:

To manage and develop trade infrastructure and the channels of distribution especially retailers to ensure MTN dominance at retail in the assigned territory.

Description:

Confirm  that  sub dealers and dealer branches are contacted and stock receipt/movement verified.

Provide informal training in shops on products, services and promotions being run by marketing, channel or region and on-the-spot training/coaching of all visited outlets in territory (100% of all visited outlets in call cycle)

Manage events and promos, generate sub-dealer promo specifications and perform post-promo evaluation

Provide weekly/monthly sales activity report and market intelligence report to field service engineers

Monitor and report back on network quality and other sales impacting indices in territory covered

Ensure call cycle time of 8 - 10 visits a day per territory or as business requires

Identify, classify and support all players in channels of distribution and ensure  weekly/monthly database update

Ensure MTN product availability in channel is >95% at all times and provide weekly product availability report of all visited outlets during call cycles

Direct all channel participants to MTN identified growth area within your territory

Establish consistent channel standards including branding as per channel recommendation.

Increase brand awareness – Signage, POS distribution and target 65% visibility in the channel of distribution (Trade marketing team will measure)

Support all identified outlets with 100% merchandizing as appropriate and defined.

Build relationship between lower and upper levels (i.e. authorized distributors and sub dealers), support trade partners and Sub dealers and link subs, retailers etc. to Trade Partners and help nurture the relationship

Resolve all issues/queries with regards to activations, products and promotions

Education:

Functional Accountabilities

Develop and maintain a Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) system for a 7x24 team of cyber security analysts.

Develop and maintain detection and response technologies that continuously evolve with the changing cyber threat landscape.

Automate Security related tasks with a high degree of efficiency leveraging a SOAR platform.

Act as an escalation point for tier 1 and 2 cyber security analysts responding to cyber security incidents.

Create, support, and maintain all pertinent documentation, which includes but is not limited to, root cause analysis, standard operating procedures, incident response plans, applicable standards for monitoring and security tooling.

Perform Digital Forensics, Incident Response (DFIR) and threat hunting activities using relevant actor TTP's and IOCs.

Develop, manage, measure and report on key service-level metrics showcasing the effectiveness of the Cyber Security Operations program.

Provide expertise in the definition, selection and implementation of IT Security and Business Continuity related controls to the IT Department.

Qualifications

Experience with Azure and AWS.

Ability to create complex regular expressions and queries for detection and parsing purposes.

Scripting knowledge in Python and PowerShell .

The Video Development Group is split into two primary units, focusing on daily turn news & feature content, as well as longer-lead series. A basic to moderate level of editing experience is essential for this role. After Effects and Photoshop knowledge is preferable, but not necessary.

Design Visuals

Our team is made up of visual journalists, data journalists, developers and designers, we combine storytelling, data and design to create compelling interactive features, dataviz, mapping and illustrations for news stories. We’re looking for a design intern who’s enthusiastic and proactive. You don’t need to know all the programs, but you’d be keen to learn how to visualise the news.

Main responsibilities include: Researching and designing data visualizations for news stories. Creating wireframes of interactive websites and concepts for new ways of digital visual storytelling. Visualising those designs as working prototypes and creating posts and managing our CNN Creative Instagram account.

Sport
