Position Summary : The Consumer Research & Competitive Intelligence department is seeking a Senior Analyst to join us in our El Segundo, CA offices supporting the Competitive Intelligence needs of our Product and Revenue teams.

The department is the voice of the consumer, the marketplace and the competition within AT&T Entertainment Group, conducting market research, exploring consumer insights and tracking competitive pricing, features and positioning.

AT&T and DIRECTV recently merged; this positions us for growth, and we're ready to provide consumers and businesses the integrated mobile, video and data solutions they want. Simply put: we've put the pieces in place to become the premier integrated communications company in the world.

The very definition of what is television is changing. In this environment, it is critical for company leadership to understand this dynamic and evolving competitive landscape. As such, the focus of the role is to develop and share insights to assist the company in maintaining its leadership position. Insights will be shared broadly throughout the organization including with the CMO, his direct reports, and executives across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizing, planning, and executing analyses in support of the product and revenue organizations; translating findings into business implications and/or recommendations
Serving as internal subject matter expert in specific areas of competitive intelligence and maintaining awareness of industry trends and developments such as 4K, Broadband, Video on Demand, TV Everywhere, subscription sports services and competitive pricing & bundles
Developing written presentations and reports for senior management
Partnering on cross functional teams to integrate data, insights, and recommendations into existing or developing company strategies, new products, and marketing tactics
Integrating competitive intelligence and market research with secondary sources to craft logical and holistic stories that drive action


REQUIREMENTS:
3-4 years work experience with an emphasis on gathering data, structuring/solving problems, drawing conclusions, and formulating recommendations
Bachelors/Undergraduate Degree required
Experience in economic, strategy or management consulting required
Ability to think strategically and to develop a point of view
Ability to champion ideas and execute in an expedited timeframe
A committed passion for high quality results and unwavering attention to detail
Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
Dynamic interpersonal and teamwork skills
Robust written and verbal communications skills
Experience in or a working knowledge of media, entertainment and/or consumer products/services is preferred

Passion for video in all forms, whether on traditional TV, Netflix, YouTube or Twitch
